Smilegate hosted a media day for the highly anticipated online game <Lost Ark> at the Harmony Ballroom inside the InterContinental Seoul COEX at 11a.m. on the 18th (Thursday).
Next-generation hack & slash MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) <Lost Ark> attracted attention when it revealed a teaser at “G-Star 2014” where it was first given recognition. The major features of this game are the worldview that encompasses the East and West, superior graphics, flashy combat engaged by diverse classes, and rich enjoyable content where users can join forces or compete with others, among others.
At the event, Smilegate RPG CEO Won-gil Ji presented detailed plans for the first closed beta test (CBT) of <Lost Ark> through a new video and presentation data.
The first CBT for <Lost Ark> is planned to be conducted over five days, from the 24th (Wednesday) to the 28th (Sunday) of this month, from 4p.m. to midnight on weekdays and noon to midnight on weekends. Ahead of the test, participants are being recruited via an official website until the 21st (Sunday). Once registration closes, test participants will be selected by draw.
Test participants may play a total of seven classes over the five days of the CBT. Further, they can experience a variety of content at the “Fighter,” “Warrior,” and “Gunner” class prologue region, as well as the “Arthemis,” “Eudia,” “Luteran” regions where MMORPG play takes place. Content such as the “Life Professions System,” “Tripod System,” “Guardian Raids,” “Colosseum Arena,” and “Cinematic Dungeon,” can also be experienced.
Smilegate RPG, developer of <Lost Ark>, will actively gather user opinion from this test to further increase the game’s level of completion.
Smilegate RPG CEO Won-gil Ji said, “We are sincerely grateful for the patience of our users. Together with those participating in this CBT, we will create an amazing game that lives up to everyone’s expectations. We wish for the continued interest and support of our RPG fans.”
